DR. SEUSS NATIONAL MEMORIAL SCULPTURE GARDEN

Built in honor of “Dr. Seuss,” who was born in Springfield. The exhibit includes a sculpture of the Lorax and a life-size replica of his house, along with sculptures of other characters and Dr. Seuss, himself..

MARK TWAIN HOUSE & MUSEUM

Named one of the 10 Best Historic Homes in the World by National Geographic, the Mark Twain House in Hartford is today a thriving museum that attracts visitors and Twain fans (not to mention architecture buffs) from all over the world.




SPRINGFIELD MUSEUMS

Located in the heart of downtown Springfield, Massachusetts, the Springfield Museums offer access to five world-class museums, including the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum and the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, all under a single admission.

BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME

Basketball Hall of Fame commemorates James Naismith, who invented the game of basketball in Springfield in 1891. It features Center Court, a full-sized basketball court on which visitors can play. Inside the building there are a game gallery, many interactive exhibits, several theaters, and an honor ring of inductees.

ERIC CARLE MUSEUM OF PICTURE BOOK ART

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, a stunning, 40,000 square-foot facility in the heart of the Five College area of Western MA is loved by families, art aficionados and book lovers alike. The Museum houses three Galleries with rotating exhibitions of picture book art from around the world. A hands-on Art Studio allows visitors to create their own masterpiece any time the Museum is open.

MGM GRAND

The MGM Springfield has plenty of activities to keep you entertained. The main draw is the hotel's casino – which features 550 slots, 120 table games and a poker room.

Check out the comedy club. Every week they have Free Music Fridays in the Aria Ballroom.

STUDENT PRINCE CAFE & THE FORT DINING ROOM

The Student Prince Café and Fort Restaurant is a German-American restaurant in Springfield, Massachusetts. The restaurant has been in business since 1935, making it one of the oldest restaurants in town. Just a 3-minute walk from MGM Springfield, Ciro’s “A Tradition” is a great Italian restaurant for a quick bite before or after exploring the casino.

The portions are large, so come here with a hearty appetite. Ciro’s “A Tradition” recently opened a new patio area, so you can enjoy your meal outdoors.
